Well the time was January 26th of 2008 when I joined the preaching and rice collection (prachar and bhiksha)
in Bengal for the 2nd time, this time with Jiva Priya Bhramachari and the prior time with Sripad Tirtha Maharaj.
The usual procedure of prachar and bhiksha when we goto a village is sankirtan (congregational chanting)
in the morning followed by a evening program of bhajans (songs) and hari-katha (lecture on God) then bhiksha
on the next morning. We went to my first village on the 27th the day after my arrival and did our sankirtan.
Here are some pictures of the sankirtan:

The beginning as you can see is a little dull but it gets better as it goes on.

Pay attention to the crowd that follows because as it gets bigger the sankirtan gets better ;)

It's just getting started.

Yes there is no highways in the villages. And yes the mud does slow us a little.

But nothing stops us.... or the locals who bow down in the mud.

So now you can see the sankirtan is great everyone is happy and notice the crowd ;)... but then...

People get to inspired or struck with awe...

Soon enough we settle down and back and home and wait eagerly for prasad (food)!

Yum Yum!
